Title: Construction Project Superintendent

Job Description:

The responsibility of Superintendent for Current Construction is to oversee and direct the day-to-day performance of all field construction for our crew and subcontractors.   Comply with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This requires a working knowledge and understanding of the project(s) work, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex situations. This position requires the ability to coordinate and direct construction crew in numerous disciplines within the assigned area of responsibility and includes the collaboration of subcontractors and vendors as required. You will be reporting to our two Project Managers, oversee a talented team, have great opportunities for growth, and continued education is always encouraged.

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

  • Plan construction operations and scheduling by phases to ensure deadlines are met

  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors

  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports. Communicate with clients accordingly and in a professional manner

  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and provide guidance when needed

  • Delegate responsibilities amongst contractors and internal field crew

  • Determine needed materials, staff, and equipment from start to finish of project while adhering to budgetary limitations

  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor inventory

 

Skills we are looking for:

  • Proven experience as construction project manager

  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

  • A team player with leadership abilities

  • Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel

  • Spanish language a plus, but not required

 

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Superintendent

  • 10 years’ experience in Construction Industry

Title: Finish Carpenter

Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:

  • High-end finish carpenter experience capable of interior ornamental trim fit out, cabinetry installation, window and door installations as well as exterior siding and trim work.

  • Acute attention to detail.

  • Works independently or with small crews at various job sites throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.

  • Willing to work on various job sites simultaneously depending on job loads.

  • Able to read, interpret, and understand plans and specifications for each project.

  • Interfaces directly with management to coordinate schedules, carry out work orders, and adjust timelines.

  • Manages assigned laborers and apprentice carpenters in approved critical paths of construction.

  • Recognize and correct hazards, including acting as the competent person, and shutting down imminent hazard work operations.

  • Develop material needs; track, inspect, and verify quantity and quality of materials and supplies.

  • Acts as a liaison between subcontractor tradesmen and construction manager.

  • Review the quality of workmanship.

  • Works with "bags on" to complete required tasks to meet high-end quality standards on time within budget.

  • General instruction and periodic review to journeyman and apprentices.

  • Is responsible for daily log reports, time cards, and other records including photos and video logs.

  • Performs construction tasks as needed including frame to finish, using materials such as wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.

  • Conduct all carpentry tasks to the highest possible standard set by management.

  • Works on various projects at different job sites.

  • Maintains an extremely neat, protected, and organized work area, on the job sites and in the company office.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Performs general laborer tasks as needed, including loading, unloading, lifting and moving materials.

  • Assists with construction tasks as needed including frame to finish, using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.

  • In training to develop progressive carpentry skills.

  • Cutting and providing materials to carpenters (under direction).

  • Works under supervision of foreman.

  • Works on various projects at different job sites.

  • Assists with demolition.

  • Assists with safety set-up.

  • Responsibility for job site cleanliness.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Title: Office Manager

Job Description:

Office Manager Position requires complete oversight of day-to-day office administration, including bookkeeping/accounting and job-costing, organizing/filing, answering the phone, managing and responding to emails, supporting executives with marketing and business development, scheduling meetings, and keeping a pulse on bookkeeping (accounts receivable and accounts payable).

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Answering incoming calls.

  • Monitoring and responding to all office emails.

  • Ordering office supplies.

  • Organizing files – physical and online on cloud‐based network

  • Working alongside Partners and Project Managers in obtaining/managing projects & marketing.

  • Communicating with customers/homeowners/subcontractors/vendors.

  • Handling all bookkeeping and job-costing items for all Current Construction projects.

  • Monthly reconciliations and Year End Reporting for Tax preparation.

  • Managing accounts payables and receivables, regular reporting.

  • Developing/implementing strong Office Management processes where needed.

  • Monitoring all business, city, state and contractor licenses.

  • Saving and scanning receipts, and expense reimbursements.

  • Gathering employee hours to process weekly payroll.

  • New Hire Onboarding process.

  • Employee Benefits and Renewals.

  • Monitoring insurance policies with insurance agents/workers’ compensation administrator.

  • Keeping organized logs of all current jobs (job tracking/costing).

  • Updating reports to reflect ongoing balances with regard to jobs, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Creating and sending estimates, contracts, RFIs, invoices, and change orders to customers and receiving payments using QuickBooks (accounts receivable).

  • Obtaining Building and Parking permits and requesting pre‐liens.

  • Tracking Subcontractor bids for new business.

  • Procurement upon request.

  • Requesting insurance certificates from subcontractors and for customers.

  • Sending contracts and agreements to subcontractors, obtaining signatures, and W9‐forms.

  • Researching business development options.

  • Create Business marketing projects, social media, website management and updates, resource project photograph.

Job Requirement: The ideal candidate must have the following:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience with construction-related industry.

  • Mastery of full MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

  • An advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online).This is non‐negotiable for the role.
